      This course has been great! I have learned so much from Mr. Rease such as how to critically analyze texts. Mr. Rease has inspired me to take AP next year (even though he is no longer teaching it.) We love Mr. Rease!

      Today in class, we worked on our presentations for our career research project finals. Tomorrow we will have a benchmark. For the rest of the year we will finish watching The Color Purple. 

 Today in class, we continued working on our career presentations. We went over the college portion of the assignment as a class. Tomorrow we will work on the actual presentation. The project is due on monday next week.

 Today in class, we started our career research projects. The career I chose was secondary education. We went over the criteria before doing our projects. The projects are due on monday.

     Today in class, we continued reading "The Color Purple". After reading, we watched the corresponding parts of the movie. Then we wrote a letter using quotes from the actual book. The assignment is due tomorrow.

Today in class, we continued reading the color purple. As we read the book we determined themes with each letter we read. We then watched the part of the movie that corresponded with the part of the book we read.

      Today in class, we started with writing a letter to God. We then continued reading the color purple. Afterwards, we watched the part of the movie that corresponded with our reading. As we read the book we wrote 6 word memoirs from celies point of view.

 Today in class Mr. Rease gave us another set up quiz to sabotage our grade. We started going over it then there was smoke all over the hallway and we had to evacuate the building. As if that wasn't enough ghetto activity, when we got outside a fight broke out. We then had to come back inside and for some reason we still have fourth pd.

      Today in class, we continued reading the color purple. We took a pop quiz (a set up to drop our grades) and went over the "answers" as a class. When we came back from lunch we stopped reading.

      Today in class, we continued reading and analyzing "The Color Purple." We listened to the audiobook and read along with it. We started reading the book on monday. We discussed differences and similarities between the movie and book.

 Today in class we continued writing our essays. We wrote 2 body paragraphs. We also learned how to write a counterclaim. The end of course exams are tomorrow and wednesday.

 Today in class we continued preparing for the end of course exams. We learned the proper format for writing an essay. During class we wrote an introduction paragraph. We will continue writing the essay on monday.

  Today in class we continued preparing for the end of course exams. We read texts and wrote a constructive response. The texts we read were about self driving cars. We wrote the response and went over them as a class. 

 Today in class we continued preparing for the end of course exams. We read texts and answered questions. The text we read was about depression among children, teenagers and adults. We answered 5 questions about the text and went over them as a class. 

  Today Mr. Rease was absent. We went to Mrs smith's room and stayed there for 3rd period. We had a discussion about football. That was pretty much it.

 Today in class we started going over the EOC's. There are four main things we will go over and today's was in informational texts. We read about budgeting for a vacation while budgeting our own vacations with a budget of $1500. We then answered questions about the text.

 Today in class we read three short poems. We then analyzed the poems as a class. Afterwards, we started a test (also as a class). When we came back from lunch we continued the test but didn't finish.

      Today in class, we went over the test format for our EOC which is in April. We also talked about some current events. We didn't really do anything else which was nice. I gave an amazing performance and people walking past the room were asking "is that beyonce in there?"

      Today in class we took a 24 question test. The questions were about the story we read yesterday, "The Rockpile". I missed one question. Afterwards, we went over the answers. 

      As John picked up his father's lunchbox, Gabriel kicked him in the face and screamed. Elizabeth storms out the room and yells at Gabriel and they get into an argument. As Elizabeth tries to escape, Gabriel grabs her arm aggressively and she runs to the kitchen and grabs a knife. She then comes back and stabs Gabriel. After she calms down, Elizabeth and her children flee the city and they move to Guatemala.
